As a new league we are unable to cater for every age group at present but we are working to provide playing opportunities for as many children as possible.
RFL Guidance on Youth & Junior Rugby League
Both males and females can play youth and junior Rugby League, in fact from under sevens up to the under 11 age group teams are of mixed gender.
In 2014, our first year, HYRL ran a boys under 12s league. Provision for other age groups and female teams will be reviewed regularly.
In 2015 HYRL will cater for u12 & u13's boys.
That means children in school years 6, 7 and 8.

Any player aged outside of the age brackets for the current season's teams should ask their parent/guardian to contact our player registrations secretary Glenn Tyreman who will help direct the player to an appropriate club if at all possible.
