HYRL Welcomes Bartholomew School RL

HAMPSHIRE YOUTH RUGBY LEAGUE ASSOCIATION are please to welcome Bartholomew School as the latest team to join the competition.

A large group of pupils at the Oxford school have been learning the game of rugby league at regular training and skills sessions run by John Connaughton and Chris Stables.

The group have now reached a stage where they'd like to test their skills in competetive games and have entered a team under the banner of 'Bartholomew Schol RL' into the Hampshire Youth Rugby League competition, which starts in May.

The school's involvement in rugby league follows on from the formation of a semi-professional side in Oxford 18 months ago.

Bartholomew School RL's players are keen to get started and will be 'training the house down' after Easter ready for their long awaited competetive debut at the first of the HYRL fixture festivals on May 17th.

Any pupils at the school who wish to get involved should contact John or Chris for details.
