Eastleigh Sports Awards 2014

"Congratulations to John and Sonja Davison, Sarah Garratt, Paula Coleman and Andy Moore who were shortlisted for this award".

"The winner was Andy Moore who set up the Hampshire Youth Rugby League from scratch. Andy had to create the format; recruit, train and develop the teams, volunteers and referees, and also secure funding to help develop a base of coaches which are required for the teams to run. He’s always first on site and last off site".

Thanks to Age Concern for sponsoring this award.

Southampton Spitfires were nominated for the team of the year award following their South East Challenge Cup Final win in July and Spitfires' Masters head coach Adie Smith was nominated for the participation coach award for his work with players aged 35+, unfotrunately neither won their category but three Rugby League nominations is testament to the hard work being undertaken by all concerned.
